THE GENTLE MILE
Join EPCALM’s Battle Against Adult Leukemia, One Step at a Time
“Therefore, I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; but I buffet my body and make it my slave, lest possibly, after I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified.” (1 Corinthians 9:26-27)
The Gentle Mile is about running with a purpose. It is about making a difference. It is about kindness and caring for those afflicted; about embarking on a journey of empowerment with those who are challenged by adult leukemia.
EPCALM invites runners everywhere to join the race against adult leukemia and fight with weapons of gentleness, encouragement, and a stewardship of life which must be kept sacred and whole. The Gentle Mile is about celebrating the Wholeness of Body, Soul and Spirit.
The Gentle Mile is an ultramarathon thru the Tri-Cities of Bais, Tanjay and Dumaguete. The route takes you along the oriental coast of Negros beside the breathtaking blue of the Tañon Strait and looking up to majestic Cuernos de Negros!
The starter’s gun goes off at the stroke of midnight on May 10, 2014 in Bais City as the runners keep stride to embrace the dawn. So come! Rise with the birds and run with the sun!
Join the EPCALM Adult Leukemia Foundation of the Philippines in its run for a cause. Further announcements will be posted in this website. Email us at info@epcalm.org for more details.
