“….To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted….”
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2
There is a season for everything. Seasons of the year – wet and dry here in the Philippines and other tropical countries; winter, spring, summer and fall in other parts of the world.
There are sports seasons (NBA, MLB, PBA, PGA, NFL, UFC, ABC, XYZ and all the combinations of letters in the alphabet), television season series (telenovelas), planting/harvesting seasons, seasons of love, joy, peace, hope and sadness. Life on this earth is so dynamic, ever-changing with all these seasons.
EPCALM’s webpage has not been updated in a long time that we have not kept up with giving our readers real time updates on our patients. Our EPCALM volunteers though have been working unselfishly to cater to the spiritual, medical and financial needs of patients and their families during this time.
Going back to the ever changing seasons in life, there is also a season which we believe is the end of life here on earth: the season to die.
As such, during the time that the web page was in hibernation, a couple of our patients have moved on to their next lives in heaven. We therefore would ask you our readers to spend a few minutes to say prayers for the eternal repose and salvation of our patients who have recently departed from this earth, as follows: 1. Leanie Nievas; 2. Gladys Abano; and 3. Jeshuah Fernandez.
As written in 2 Timothy 4:7: “…I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith…”, let us declare that Leanie, Gladys and Jeshuah have fought the good fight, finished the race and have kept their faith.
Let us not forget though to also say a prayer to the families that they leave behind; during their time of grief and as they struggle to get back up. Let us continue to sustain them with our prayers.
